At Rigel, we believe that while we promote the ideals of sustainable living through our green restroom products and vision, we should also spare a thought for those in need. Always driven to fulfil our corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the next generation, which is the pillar of hope for a more sustainable future, we have taken our level of engagement a notch higher on the 5th of September 2012, as we reached out to a group of underprivileged children from the Singapore Feiyue Family Service Centre.
By sponsoring a programme to bring them out on an excursion to Snow City and a subsequent ice cream making workshop, we have given them a fun time to just chill out and not be bothered by troubles in life. We were glad to have played our part since these children from low-income families seldom have the opportunity to go out and enjoy themselves. Our staff contributed directly to this CSR event by being chaperons for the kids and generally making them happy. It was truly a cool experience with a heartwarming touch.
